Low-E glass, also known as Low-Emissivity glass (Low Emissivity glass), is a film product composed of multiple layers of metal or other compounds on the surface of glass, generally choose silver layer as its functional layer. Low-E Glass’s coating layer has the characteristics of high transmittance to visible light and high reflection to middle and far infrared light, so that it has excellent heat insulation effect and good transmittance compared with ordinary glass and traditional coated glass for building.

Low radiation coated glass is mainly divided into the following types:
High permeability Low -E glass
This kind of glass has the characteristic that heat transfer coefficient is low and reflection far infrared heat radiate, it can be the heat that winter indoor central heating, household electric appliance and human body give out is reflected indoors, reduce the heat conduction of glass, obtain good heat preservation effect thereby. This kind of glass that applies to the cold area of the north also has high solar energy transmittance, can make the near infrared heat radiation in the sun enter the room and increase the indoor heat, thus effectively reduce the energy consumption of heating.
Shading type Low-E glass
In addition to the low heat transfer coefficient and the characteristics of reflecting far-infrared heat radiation, the glass also has the characteristics of reflecting solar near infrared heat radiation. This kind of glass only allows visible light from the sun to enter the interior and blocks the thermal radiation, so it is especially suitable for southern areas and transitional areas. After using this kind of glass, although have sun illuminate also won’t have heat feeling, it can assure the heat energy of indoor winter not to leak already, can assure the heat energy in preventing summer sunshine to enter indoor again.
Double silver low-E glass
Double silver low-E glass is the current environmental protection energy-saving products, it emphasizes on the glass cover on the solar radiation effect, the glass of high light penetration and Low permeability of the sun’s heat radiation cleverly combined together, in the visible light transmittance of the same case, it has lower than normal low-e glass solar transmittance, which has a lower shading coefficient of SC. In other words, it can filter sunlight into cold light source to a greater extent, which solves the contradiction between high visible light transmittance and low solar transmittance, and provides energy saving guarantee for the design that pursues the appearance of transparency.
