What is laser cladding spraying?

Laser cladding is an important method of material surface modification technology. It is to use high-energy density laser beam to cladding (spray) alloy material on the surface of the substrate to obtain alloy layer with completely different composition and properties from the substrate material

Recently, one of our customers said that he wants to buy diamond grinding wheel to replace silicon carbide grinding wheel

(D750x304.2xT76)for grinding laser cladding spray coating(The coating is nickel-based hard alloy).

As we know that the grinding efficiency of silicon carbide grinding wheels is not ideal, so our customer want to improve the efficiency.

In the grinding process, the efficiency of silicon carbide grinding wheel was found to be too slow, so he wanted to find a diamond grinding wheel to increase the efficiency.

Through analysis, Moresuperhard found that their rotational speed was very low, with the RPM only 20-80 RPM, and the linear speed of the grinding wheel only reached 2-3m/s after conversion. The diameter of the grinding wheel was large, and the length and diameter of the workpiece were also large. It was a heavy-duty grinding, which required the grinding wheel to be sharp enough.
